With 25 years of experience as a dedicated social worker, Tory brings a profound understanding of mental health challenges, both professionally and personally. Her journey through her own mental health experiences and her commitment to breaking down stigmas have fueled her mission. Through BeachWeek, Tory not only fills a gap in the luxury beach clothing market but also amplifies a message of hope, empowerment, and unity, as her passion for fashion becomes a force for positive change, serving as a beacon for mental health advocacy and awareness.

BeachWeek emerged as a response to her personal journey through grief, loss, and her own mental health struggles with anxiety. While witnessing and supporting so many people she loved, she realized that it was often easier to ask for a beach vacation than to discuss the importance of prioritizing mental health with employers. Drawing from her experiences, she built the BeachWeek brand with a mission to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health conversations. Tory believes that people's desire to help others can be channeled through purchasing a sweatshirt, ultimately contributing to increased awareness and improved access to mental health resources.
